Basics of Hyperactivity Symptoms
Hyperkinesis
is referred to as ADHD. ADHD is the Attention Deficit Hyperactivity
Disorder. People with hyperactivity disorders often find it difficult
to focus on one thing at a time. They may switchover from one task
to another without even completing one task. As the name implies
hyperactivity, they do more than one task at a time.
It is found that 3 to 5 percent of the children are affected by
ADD the attention deficit disorder. They will find it difficult
to focus on one thing at a time. Some of the children with ADD will
try to answer even before the question is asked to them. This is
purely due to the hyperactivity disorder and it is a symptom of
attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Organizing tasks is difficult
for such children or adults.
The symptoms
of ADD fall in to any one of the three categories, namely inattention,
hyperactivity, and impulsivity. People with symptoms of inattention
may not focus on one thing and they will find it very difficult
to focus on one task if they try so. Often they get bored of the
task after sometime. They often give attention to the things they
enjoy instead of focusing on the task that is to be completed. Adult
with such symptoms will not keep their deadlines in their workplace.
Children will find it difficult to complete their homework or schoolwork.
Their mind will drift to some other tasks or games often. When they
do their homework with little attention they commit lots of silly
mistakes in their assignments. People with hyperactive symptoms
are always in motion. They cant sit in one place for sometime.
Children with hyperactive symptoms will be roam around the house,
wiggle their feet often, and touch everything. They may sometimes
give unnecessary comments on something that caught their attention.
They keep on doing many tasks at a time without focusing on one
task. People and children with impulsivity symptoms could not wait
for their turns in games and other group activities.
